Twitter Tip #1 – how to build a strong brand and reputation
Twitter – a waste of time or a valuable marketing resource?
There are 95 million Tweets (posts) written every day, hence including Twitter in your marketing mix is a smart move when you get it right and do it correctly. However if you’re new to this medium, how can you best utilise it? We’ve got some practical Twitter how-to tips to help you successfully grow your brand and your business.
Tip #1; a picture paints a thousand words
It’s important that you either upload a logo or photo in your profile, don’t ever leave this field blank. It sends out the wrong message about you and your brand.
If you decide to opt for a photograph, always ensure it’s a professional one that is wholly relevant and current. (Rough rule of thumb; a photo taken within the last two years).
This photo is the first impression that someone is going to have of you, and the only image that represents who you are. Make it relevant, ie a photographer may want to have an image that captures their creative side.
Finally, use the same photo on multiple social media platforms, (LinkedIn, Facebook and Google+) because it all helps to build your personal brand.
